Morrison Energy Services to support SSEN Transmission’s ASTI framework

Morrison Energy Services Transmission Network, a part of M Group Services’ Energy Division, has been selected to design and deliver critical onshore power infrastructure to support SSEN Transmission’s Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) framework.

The ASTI framework is responsible for delivering SSEN’S ‘Pathway to 2030’ network redevelopment programme, another step forward in the major upgrade of the electricity transmission network across Great Britian to help meet the UK and Scottish Government’s 2030 renewable energy and climate targets.

Morrison Energy Services’ work will include the upgrade of overhead lines and substations and the build of new infrastructure in the north of Scotland.

Speaking on the framework win, David Maddocks, Managing Director of Morrison Energy Services Transmission Network, said: “It is great news that we are back working with SSEN in supporting them with their Pathway to 2030 programme and look forward to delivering these works safely over the next few years.”

As a leading partner in both Transmission and Distribution infrastructure delivery programmes in the UK, Morrison Energy Services’ experience will be core to the success of the framework, as it works alongside SSEN Transmission and framework partners, to deliver secure, independent, renewable energy and climate change targets for the Scottish and UK Government.
