Incredible feedback from Buckingham Palace
25th May 2022
We have received incredible feedback from Buckingham Palace in relation to the delivery of the London Medium Pressure Scheme (LMPS) in collaboration with Cadent.
We were on a deadline to complete required works in time for the Queen’s Jubilee and we pride ourselves on being able to deliver what we promise.
The team are undertaking the LMPS, complex gas mains replacements in Westminster in collaboration with Cadent. Some of the mains being replaced are up to 100 years old and to minimise disruption, the team have been inserting the new mains through the existing pipe network.
These works are navigating some of London’s most iconic landmarks and sights, taking the team right up to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Westminster Abbey, to name a few.
Tony Wheeler from the Property Section of the Privy Purse and Treasurer’s Officer, said: “With Ambassador’s Court now covered in tents and the Jubilee rapidly marching towards us, I just wanted to thank you all for your efforts to get all the required works done on time. I know you still have the final parts of the strip-out to complete, but it was no small feat to get to this stage in the timescale. I think we had over 30 people in and out during that works period to make it all happen. Please pass on my thanks to all involved.”
Jack Deaney, LMPS Project Manager, said: “We appreciate the support of the Buckingham Palace team. Their flexibility around quick access requests was greatly appreciated and essential to the success of the works. We’re out on the road again in mid-June completing the next phase of the project. In the meantime, we hope the Jubilee celebrations go well.”
Back to all.
