Giving a little back this Christmas

Our teams on the Electricity Transmission contract based in the Lugano office in North Nottinghamshire were given some cash as a gift to buy Christmas chocolates for the office.

The team decided to donate this money to those in need and started a food bank collection for a local branch of The Trussell Trust in support of its urgent Christmas appeal. 

Jo Leman, Procurement Co-ordinator and Kim Naylor, Central Supply Desk Co-ordinator from the Procurement Department set up the incredible collection. They also went shopping for extra food in their lunch hours with any cash donations they were given. Including the original donation, they collected over £130 in cash.

Within a day of starting the appeal, the boxes were already full of essential and some luxury items for local families locked in poverty, and this has grown to a fantastic donation which they will deliver to the food bank this week.
