We hit international waters to quality control the very best equipment.

As part of our ongoing commitment to invest in the best quality equipment for M Group Services and its operating businesses, we collaborated with Tesmec to create bespoke Array Rollers, essential to support our clients’ projects.

Recently, representatives from M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions (MGSPFS) and Morrison Energy Services visited Tesmec’s factory to quality check new equipment prior to shipment, allowing us to deliver the highest quality services.

From 180 Array Rollers ordered, the first 60 were quality checked against the original drawings, which were specifically drafted to support our operations. Array Rollers are a crucial when tension stringing composite core conductors, reducing the bending of the conductor during installation, which is a vital to protect the core of the conductors from damage.

Paul Fairbrother, Head of Specialist Plant and Equipment at MGSPFS, Stephen Williams, Innovation Engineer, and Tony Clegg, Foreman at MES, attended the factory. Between them, they share a vast range of knowledge and expertise on transmission networks and contract delivery, which allowed the team to inspect from all perspectives prior their arrival to our contracts.

Tony, said: “I was given the opportunity to attend the Tesmec factory to check over the equipment prior to it being delivered, which was a great experience and I’d encourage anyone who gets the opportunity to also go and see it.

“While we were there, we had a tour of the factory, where we saw the large machines, we use in various stages of a build and various other equipment being manufactured. The level of detail, knowledge, experience, and engineering that was seen and goes into all the plant and equipment was very impressive. We knew the quality was high but witnessing this has only improved the level of confidence I have in the equipment.”
