Morrison Energy Services racks up support for local children’s hospital
12th September 2024
Our Electric Vehicle (EV) team has been supporting Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, by donating time to reorganising items in the hospital’s local charity shop.
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, which not only supports local people in times of need, but also expands their expertise to treat children from all over the UK, is close to many of our team’s homes. Understanding the importance of the Children’s Hospital for the community, our team has dedicated a day each month to the charity shop.
Recently, Stephanie Raven, Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Manager and Philip Jolley, SHEQ Advisor, made their volunteering debut, spending the day in the back of the shop hanging and organising clothes, as well as giving the children’s section a refresh.
Stephanie said: “Alder Hey is not only close to the local community’s heart but has also personally helped several of our colleagues, when their children have been unwell. Spending our time supporting the hospital through just one day in the charity shop, felt like a worthy way to give back to the community.
“It was so nice to meet all the other volunteers, who were very welcoming to us, and it was clear to see that the shop is not only valuable to the hospital, but also a thriving local space for the community. We look forward to continuing to volunteer.”
Across M Group Services, we are passionate about supporting the communities in which we work, in line with our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) targets.
